Dr. Shaun Holt is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a fellowship specific to the shoulder and elbow region.
Dr. Holt received his Bachelor of Science in nutrition and dietetics from Kent State University. He went on to medical school at the Medical University of Ohio where he chose to stay for his orthopedic surgery residency. Here he had extensive exposure to orthopedic trauma and sports medicine.
After his residency, he decided to pursue his passion for sports medicine, especially shoulder & elbow. He completed one of the most competitive and comprehensive sports medicine fellowships in Jackson, Mississippi, under the guidance of Dr. Felix Savoie, III. Here he advanced his skills in arthroscopic shoulder & elbow techniques.
Throughout his fellowship and into his practice, Dr. Holt has published several research papers in orthopedic journals and has written comprehensive chapters on arthroscopic shoulder surgery in textbooks published by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He continues to pursue the perfection of arthroscopic techniques and teaches courses covering arthroscopic shoulder and elbow surgery at a national level for fellow orthopedic surgeons looking to improve their skills.
Outside of orthopedic surgery, Dr. Holt is passionate about health, wellness, and nutrition and continues to research this subject. He has written a health and wellness book entitled"Beating Your Genetics," which is sold online and in bookstores nationwide.
Dr. Holt and the physicians at All American Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Institute are sports team physicians for area high schools: Clear Lake, Clear Springs, Clear Creek, Clear Falls, Dickinson, Sante Fe, Texas City, and Hitchcock. He performs his surgeries at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center and Houston Physicians Hospital.
Dr. Holt has set deep roots in the Galveston Bay Area and is committed to serving the people of this community. When he's not at the office, he loves spending time with his two beautiful children.

I would highly recommend Dr Holt , he knows what he’s doing. I had a rotator cuff done couple years ago , and now I’m having an issue with my other shoulder. I went back to see him . His staff is awesome as well.
