Hannah Dineen, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with expertise in the hand & wrist, and specializes in trauma of the same.
Dr. Dineen grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, and attended the University of Arizona, where she obtained her undergraduate degree in microbiology. She went to attend the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, where she was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society.
She then completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where she was awarded the Health Volunteers Overseas Traveling Orthopaedic Fellowship to travel to Moshi, Tanzania, for a medical mission trip. Dr. Dineen completed her fellowship training in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery at the renowned Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in Indianapolis.
Dr. Dineen is a fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon who specializes in the treatment of disorders of the elbow, wrist, and hand pathology in both adults and children. She is trained in arthroscopy, minimally invasive, and endoscopic surgery, as well as microvascular surgery. Her particular interests include peripheral nerve surgery, including compression neuropathies, as well as management of post-amputation neuromas, tendon injuries, trauma surgery, and surgery for arthritis.
Actively engaged in research and education, Dr. Dineen has published multiple clinical and basic science research papers as well as contributions to textbooks. She has also presented numerous scientific papers at both local and national orthopedic conferences.
Dr. Dineen is a reviewer for the Journal of Hand Surgery and is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Association for Hand Surgery, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. She has a special interest in promoting minorities and women in orthopedic surgery and medical mission trips.
In her free time, Dr. Dineen enjoys spending time with her family, yoga, staying active outdoors, enjoying Houston’s restaurant scene and covering local high school sports games.
